about the client:

FREEDOM Fest is an annual Birmingham music and empowerment festival that celebrates unity and purpose. Spearheaded by the LRY Media Group, this was the first festival of its kind in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

goal:

In the summer of 2019, LRY Media Group approached Wilbron Inc. to create the festival’s identity and branding. As an intern at the time, my role was to help the art director create print and digital materials for this client.


branding

The mirroring “E” in the logo and the submark represent equality.

The brush stroke represents art and individuality, and emphasizes the word “FREE” to inspire audiences.

Birmingham is the backdrop for many pivotal moments in the Civil Rights Movement. It’s a city known for creating something out of nothing, both in nationwide change, and art and music.
